Hello, after upgrading VS to version 15.8, VA no longer colorizes method names in C# code. Method calls are colorized properly:

(VA version: 2283.2, VS version: 15.8.0)

Thank you so much. This is an awesome release for C# developers.

Thank you for keeping a close eye on this. We are quietly confident all of these cases will be fixed in the next release of VA, which is getting closer. We just need to try and make sure we don't break anything else in the process.

Just for completeness (you probably found it already) - the coloring problem is not limited to method names. As far as I can tell, no elements are colored when they are being declared - member functions, member variables, local variables, properties, enum values. All of those only get properly colored when they are used later in code.

Detailed color syntax of VAX is very useful.
I want (we need!!) fast hotfix...
Please...

No firm ETA yet, but we are working on this. The trick is to get everything working correctly and reliably...

Yeah, +1 for uncomfortable, although I know it's probably MS' fault :) Any eta for the September release? Can't wait for the promised C# goodies.

I'm visiting every day to check for updates because my current status of VX is very uncomfortable. (It's been about two weeks.) We look forward to the test being released safely.

Cheers!

We are working to get the next version ready for release, but we need to finish the updates we are making, and also make sure it passes all of our internal testing as well before posting it. But it is coming.
patric Posted - Sep 08 2018 : 2:15:54 PM
I want to use this version as soon as possible, because it's the only reason I purchased VX.

We believe we have a fix internally, so if everything goes well this will be fixed in the next build of VA.

When will this be fixed? I purchased a new license because my VX is an old version, but I was very disappointed to know that it was still not resolved.

Thank you for the screenshot, it clearly shows the problem. I was able to reproduce the problem and I've put in a bug report for this:

case=118439
