I'm as german speaking developer often have to lookup some words from a comment. Or I used to search a name or type with google.

So it would be great to get a list with possible lookup locations. This lookup location could be customized in the option screen:

Serach Google: http://www.google.com/search?q=$WORD$&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
Leo German/English: http://dict.leo.org/ende?search=$WORD$

So you select the word, and choose in the contect menu "Search Google". The default browser is started or used and display the search results or the translation.

Simple to implement, but more value ;-)

it is the fact you need options, and configuration, that is bothering me slightly. we try to keep the number of options to the absolute minimum.

when you are looking up words, are they normally English words you are looking up? if so you may find this program a good solution:

http://wordweb.info/free/

i often use it myself, for help with spelling or definitions of English words. just highlight the word and use the shortcut key to look up the word. the advantage is that this is not tied to the IDE, so it works for words from any source.
