Posted - Jan 24 2023 : 10:07:47 PM I've found that the spell checker does not understand some of the Unicode word break or non-word characters / symbols.
Microsoft's wt.exe (windows terminal) allows one to provide custom word break characters. "Interaction:Word delimiters".
The following Unicode characters, specifically, give the VAssistX spell checker difficulty.
NOT sure why the post is showing these characters unless it does not support UTF8. - #10216;#10217;#65378;#65379;#8945;#8944; i.e., https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_punctuation#Single_quotation_marks https://www.compart.com/en/unicode/search?q=angle+bracket#characters https://www.compart.com/en/unicode/search?q=angle+quotation#characters
Thank you, DSim p.s., I would also be fine with just detecting Unicode symbol classification etc. |

Posted - Jan 31 2023 : 06:57:44 AM Could you email me a simple code file showing the problem please? Since the characters aren't showing, and I don't read Japanese, I am not sure what to make of this.
Please send me the file via email:

including this thread ID or URL in the description, so we can match it up. |
