I use it in Japan.
On problems that occur when multibyte characters are used
If it contains several kanji, it will fail with:
� VA Outline � Extract Nethod � Other ...
An example shift_jis, cp 932 https://charset.uic.jp/show/cp932/
These characters are 2 byte characters including 0x5c.
This character is often used in Japan.

Posted - Dec 14 2017 : 1:03:29 PM Unfortunately VA can have problems with Unicode, multi-byte characters. This is something we are working on, but have not fully fixed:

If you set the Windows settings for Non-unicode programs to Japanese this should help a bit. Under Windows 10, go into Control Panel -> Region -> Advanced tab, and set:
