Posted - Jun 09 2016 : 01:10:52 AM Hi, please, could you help me with creating the first file in project with VS Assist? Now it is not possible in empty project. The problem is also when I want to create file in new (empty) directory, because path could not be modified (path is same as currently opened document). Thank you very much. Workaround: create temp file with Visual Studio, then create file with VS Assist and then remove the temp file, but it is little bit annoying. |

Posted - Jun 09 2016 : 2:01:30 PM The request makes sense -- right now, we use the directory of the active file. We could possibly change it so that the user can specify the directory (in either case) -- though it muddies the water when VA tries to add the file to a project. case=97919 |

Posted - Jun 09 2016 : 1:42:34 PM The idea behind Create File is that it is a quick and simple way of creating a file. If you have created a temp file with the IDE, why do you then want / need to create a second file via Create File, to replace it? Why not just use the file you created via the IDE? |
