VA supports "." in Find Symbols Dialog, but doesn't support wildcards such as "?" or "*" |

Use space to separate parts. So to search for "GetItemHeight" you can use the filter "get height" or even "height get" since the order of the parts does not matter. This achieves the same result, just using a different method.
We are using dot partly because dot is used for className.memberName, so it makes sense to extend this to the start and end of a symbol. |
