Heya,

I know visual assist does a lot more then just pretty colours and fixing the broken intelisense but to be honest i dont really use it.

the main reason i installed it was to get a working intellisense that doesnt stop working if somewhere a semicolumn is in the wrong place.

Sadly my license ran out and i decided to look up what it would cost to add this `fix` to my visual studio, after looking this up i clicked the cancel button and continued my work without it because 250 bucks is really too much, and so is the 50 bucks for a renewal or students licence.

Might i suggest a lite version that just does the colours and intellisence fixing for maybe 20-25 bucks a year?

Its just a suggestion so if this doesn't fit in your business model that is fine.

Keep up to good work,
Mike

I'm aware of that, but if i'm spending the money i might as well keep myself able from getting the latest version once a new one is released.

I'm sure that for companies your business model works and i'm betting that is your main target consumer so don't worry about me:D

Cheers
Mike

If you got a personal license, are you aware you can keep on using Visual Assist X after your support expires? You just keep on using the latest version your license key covers, you are still able to use the software, you just won't get any more updates.

Its possible that i reconsider.

But considering that vs pro is 500 bucks and the normal va license is 50% of that price i find it highly unlikely that i will buy it myself.

The personal license only offers me 6 months of support and updates so i wouldn't pick that

But hey, i understand your business plan and clearly it works otherwise you would have changed it by now or gone bankrupt.

So keep up the good work and hopefully see you once i got employment.

The value of Visual Assist X does partly depend on how much time you spend in the IDE each day. Perhaps you will reconsider after you finish your studies.

Was afraid of that, oh well was worth the shot to ask:)

For me its not a compelling option one bit but who knows maybe when i finish my studies and find a job they offer me a license.

until then,
Mike

Unfortunately no, we do not have any plans to introduce a lite version. The current personal license is designed to offer a low cost form of Visual Assist X, while still offering all of the features and commands, to hopefully make it a compelling option.
