On our project we have identically named functions implemented in per-platform cpp files. The Find Symbol dialog will list them all, and to find the right one I'll have to hover over the symbol to get the tooltip in order to see which file it's from. It would be super handy if there was a column that had the filename in it.

That makes a lot of sense. We are considering adding this information to the find symbol dialog, and I have added this situation to the case:

case=35181

One alternative would be alt-g, at least if you are looking for a function that is being called, or it is worth typing in the function name just to use it as something to use alt-g on. This way you will get a menu listing the different files that the function name exists in. This might help a bit.

case=35181 is implemented in build 2107.
see context menu in the dialog.
