Hi,

I noticed a problem when I try to use font that contains ligatures (fi, ff or fl, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typographic_ligature). Good example of such font is Verily Serif Mono - you can download it here: http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/Verily-Serif-Mono

Try to write "float x = 10;" using this font - you'll see the problem. And try to select this text. This happens in VS2008.

Cheers,
Patryk

I am seeing the same effect here. Thank you for the clear description.

case=25254

For now you need to either use a different font, without ligatures or turn off:

VA Options -> Advanced -> Fonts and Colors -> Enable Enhanced Syntax Coloring
